Master Guide Michael Horstman has been guiding hunts on Kodiak Isle and in Alaska for over 20 years. Brown bear hunting is passion and he has been pursuing these magnificent creatures since the early 1980’s when he first came to Alaska, after guiding in Idaho. His success rate is 85% and you can count on 100% effort. Kodiak bears harvested typically average between 8.5 and 9.5 feet, with some hitting the magic 10 ft. mark.
